My Beautiful New Niece!
On Wednesday, August 14th, our family welcomed a sweet little girl into the world! A healthy and gorgeous Makena Jane Sanders was born. I am so proud of my baby brother! We were all there when she arrived, but Rex didn't get to meet her until last Saturday. He was smitten! Beautiful baby girl. Rex is a total tickle bug, and tickling Makena was the highlight of the visit. All the cousins together! Rex was a little unsure about "holding" the baby...and . . .

He adores all things rodeo after seeing his first on on July 4th, so naturally, Brooke showed him a fabulous time with a delicious brunch spread, hay bales, tractors, a bounce house (which Rex LOVED), and lots of horses. I was lucky enough to design the invitations and other party . . .

Ah, Monday. You are back. No fun. At all. We, once again, had a wonderful long weekend with dear friends, but this time we were at the beach in Galveston! It was the perfect getaway, and we wish we were still there. Since we got into town on Thursday just in time to bathe and put the kiddos down, I brought the fixings for breakfast so we wouldn't have to worry about heading the grocery store or running out super early to grab something. My little Rex is an early . . .
