Fashion Fundamentals: Fall Sweaters

Oh, sweater weather, how I love thee.

As promised, here is a run-down of my favorite fall sweater fashion fundamentals.  When choosing sweaters, I always try to stay a bit neutral since you can layer pops of color underneath or on top with a gorgeous scarf or necklace.

1 /  I love this classic black sweater from Off 5th with the perfect amount of faux fur on the collar.  This will jazz up jeans and heels or look elegant and polished with your hair back and pearl earrings on Christmas Eve.

2 /  This is the only bright color in my round up today.  The classic red tone and prefect bow detail make this Kate Spade sweater from Nordstrom a big winner.

3 /  A little bling goes a long way.  This heather gray sweater from JCPenney is the perfect balance between cozy and chic.

4 /  Pastels are completely gorgeous when grounded by fall basics such as dark demin and creamy brown leather.  Snatch this one up from JCrew.

5 /  Sleeveless cowl-neck sweaters are perfect under suits, blazers, and long cardigans, but this fall favorite can also be super sexy paired with leather skinnies and sky-high heels.  I love this one from Off 5th.

6 /  Thin black turtleneck.  Everyone should have one.  This one is a great JCrew staple.

7 /  Chunky neutral sweaters are my weekend warriors.  I love pairing these with tall riding boots and skinny cords.  This one from Old Navy is truly bang for your buck.

8 /  I love a good, long cardigan.  This beauty from Nordstrom is the perfect weight, and that leather detail is just killer.

9 /  Sweaters certainly don’t have to be frumpy.  This black number from Banana Republic would look fantastic with a black pencil skirt and sexy leopard pumps for a fun date night. (and, its on sale!)

10 / Every girl needs a classic camel pull over.  It is essential, and JCrew has perfected it.
