I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We did. We had our oh-so-glamourous garage sale and lots of down time with the family. Perfection.

Now, a good cropped jacket is not something I lack in my current closet. Since my 8-5 job is in a government office, I like to mix and match my suit pieces with other jackets, and the cropped version is one I am a fan of. I also love to mix polished tweed jackets up with jeans and a statement necklace on the weekends or casual Friday. This classic black one from Saks Off 5th is the perfect timeless piece that can be paired with almost anything, and this less expensive H&M version is a playful neutral option.

The varsity jacket is a fun trend that is attractive to the classic girl when done in a dark neutral. Pair with jeans for a polished, casual look. This gray and black Revolve jacket is gorgeous, but you cannot go wrong with the all-black one from Forever 21.

And, finally, the iconic navy blazer. Polished and cool, the navy blazer is a fashion staple. Wear it over dark skinny jeans like Kate here, with a suit for work, or over distressed jeans and a t-shirt. You cannot go wrong with JCrew’s suiting options and this one from the Gap has the perfect buttons!
