I can’t wait to share this wonderful cookbook with you today. My aunt gave me Peace Meals after she received it at a Junior League conference, and I was blown away by how gorgeous, yet extremely approachable, it is.
All of the cookbooks featured in this series are a part of my personal collection, and I would never recommend a cookbook that I didn’t love.

What is the gist of this cookbook?
Like most Junior League cookbooks, this one is full of unique recipes for the home cook. However, this one stands out. The photography is stunning, and the recipes are easy to follow, yet unique and full of flavor. It is beautifully covered, heavy, and fits nicely on any shelf. Peace Meals even offers sample menus to help you plan your home dinner parties. You should see my copy. Literally, half of the pages are dog-eared, and I can’t wait to try more.
Is it easy to read? Is it well organized?
Definitely, on both. This book is traditionally organized for easy reading.
Is it useful?
It is very useful for both of the types of entertaining I do: weeknight cooking with my family of three as well as larger dinner parties.
Are the recipes ones that you can actually make with products in most grocery stores?
Absolutely. This is written by home cooks for home cooks. You can find everything you need at your local grocers.
It is beautiful?
Gorgeous. The photos make you want to jump in and grab a seat at the table.
Are the recipes as delicious as they look in the book?
From my experience, they really are. I have made multiple recipes (you will see them on the blog soon, I promise!), but this Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry was a weeknight winner!
Have a great weekend!
