Easter is right around the corner! If you are like me, you are scrambling to put together some sweet Easter plans that include a touching church service, lots of egg hunting, loved ones, and delicious food.
Here in Texas, we love our Mexican food. It is easy to make ahead, the flavor combinations are endless, and it is always a crowd pleaser. When I was daydreaming about the perfect Easter brunch, I decided that a soft spring fiesta would be perfect.
With every home soiree, thinking outside the box is always encouraged. You want your guests to feel special while keeping things comfortable, so your classic dinner party is not always going to be the answer. I think an Easter Fiesta is the perfect way to keep things festive and effortless while prancing around in your Sunday best.
For this recipe for an Easter Fiesta, I used a color palette of coral, peach, mint green, pink, and powder blue. Serve a classic taco bar and finish up with a decadent tres leches cake. Spend some time crafting one – not 10! – sweet DIY for the kids, and always remember how much beautiful, simple blooms can add to any event.
1 / For the perfect and memorable DIY that kids and adults alike will adore, look no further than Oh, Happy Day’s Easter Egg Pinatas! Fill with Easter candy for even more fun.
2 / This adorable tassel garland doesn’t scream Mexican fiesta with its muted tones, but it certainly adds a playful element to your brunch. There are many DIY posts on the Internet, but this beauty was spotted on etsy.
3 / Tacos come in so many combinations, so you can definitely find options to suit all of your guests’ preferences. To soften up presentation of this classic Mexican fare, think about using your white stoneware or pastel milk glass as serving pieces. Also, most of the elements of a taco bar can be prepped the night before. This way, you have time to wake up, egg hunt, and head to church without a ton of meal prep stress when guests arrive. Try this delicious recipe if you are looking for some amazing beef tacos!
4 / There is something so special about aguas fresca. This non-alcoholic watermelon-strawberry recipe is the perfect spring drink.
5 / As far as flowers, keep them in soft spring pastels, but look for more playful blooms such as ranunculus, fusilier tulips, succulents, and fun billy balls. This bouquet is the perfect inspiration.
6 / Dessert: the star of a sweet holiday like Easter. Keeping with the fiesta theme, go with a tres leches cake. You will not be disappointed…and make it the day ahead. It is even better.
7 / Finally, paper goods. We all know how much I love Minted, and this menu by root beer float is perfect way to highlight your effortless taco spread.
