Our ‘New’ Home: The Entry Table
Happy Holiday Week! As you may know, on the morning of October 31, 2013, Austin suffered a major flash flood, and it hit our neighborhood very hard. Long story short, we had to evacuate at 5:00 am (in pitch dark) while 3 feet of water rushed into our home. I will definitely fill it with classic, neutral furniture, but I do love a little modern, a little rustic, and just a tad of color. Our two living areas are now almost one, so furniture placement is a challenge to ensure everything flows. There are a few things we have to consider before I really start purchasing new furniture: Even though we . . .
Remodel: Updated Traditionalist Inspiration Board
The fabulous lifestyle blogger Julia Ryan is hosting an inspiration board contest with Polyvore, and I couldn't resist entering! I already had an inspiration board created for my actual living room remodel, so I spruced it up...and entered it. I do think of myself as an updated traditionalist (with a bit of a rustic vibe thrown in), so this is right up my alley. The bonus is that there will be two $500 Serena and Lily gift cards awarded to the winners! Hopefully, I will . . .
